This policy explains what Banger (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our thumbnail-scoring service, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Account information. When you sign up we store your email address and an encrypted password, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase).
- Usage counters. We keep a per-account count of scans and AI generations so we can enforce plan limits. We do not keep the images you scan.
- Billing information. Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; Stripe does. We store a Stripe customer/subscription ID and your current plan.
- Thumbnails you upload. Images are resized in your browser and sent to our AI provider (OpenRouter) for analysis or generation. They are processed to produce your result and are not stored on our servers.
- Local scan history. Your past scans are saved only in your own browser (localStorage) on your device. This never leaves your device and we cannot see it.
How we use it
- To provide the service: authenticate you, run analyses, and enforce plan limits.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug problems.
Third parties we share data with
We rely on a small number of processors, each handling only what they need:
- Supabase: authentication and database (email, plan, usage counters).
- Stripe: payment processing and subscription management.
- OpenRouter: routes your uploaded image to an AI model for analysis or generation.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal and accounting purposes. You can delete your account by contacting us, after which we remove your account data other than what we must retain by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these, email us at the address below.
